Sleeping Giant

Provincial Park

taking a break from the grindstone to visit one of ontario's hidden gems

Sleeping Giant Provincial Park is a must see for someones bucket list that live in Ontario. Have a weekend where you are trying to figure out what to do? Well this place is packed full of fun and excitement in everything you could explore.

From various campsites that have a lakeside view of the mountain, to cabins and airbnb locations, there is plenty of nice places to book to stay and have a view of the mountain.

I decided to put my car to the test by travelling across Ontario to Thunder Bay’s Sleeping Giant Provincial Park.

It was the most strenuous test that I have put on my car to date. Driving a total of fifteen hours, and stopping more than five times to charge, get food, and to take driving breaks.

Although the drive was long, it was worth it. Sleeping Giant Provincial Park was the first mountain I have ever had the pleasure of viewing in Ontario. Driving up the trans-canada highway was a sight in itself with all the lakes and beautiful rocks that you see. We even got to see a moose on the road along the way!

Some rocks that we stopped at on the Trans Canada Highway. Fun fact, Canadians when building the Trans Canada Highway they used dynamite to blow their way through the rocks.

Thanks for taking the time to view my trip to the Sleeping Giant.
